DESCRIPTION: Unbranched grooves side by side that are isolated, irregular patches, or irregular meandering patterns
BEHAVIOR(S): Pasichnia (grazing), some fodinichnia (deposit feeding).
ENVIRONMENTAL SETTINGS: Marine and continental aquatic environments; but also in terrestrial settings.
POSSIBLE TRACEMAKERS: Animals bearing radula, such as gastropods, and animals with paired incisors, such as mammals known to gnaw on bone and other hard surfaces.
GEOLOGIC RANGE: Cambrian–recent

REMARKS: Radulichnus in marine settings are on firmgrounds and hardgrounds and produced by the radula of gastropods. In continental settings these traces can be found on bone and carbonate rocks produced by the teeth of rodents of various sizes (e.g., rats, squirrels).
