DESCRIPTION: Long, subconical, weakly curved form oriented from nearly vertical to horizontal, circular to oval in cross section. Exterior wall composed of concentric layers around a central tube; preserved in full relief.

BEHAVIOR(S): Domichnia (dwelling burrow)

ENVIRONMENTAL SETTINGS: Marine environments; typically, shoreface settings.

POSSIBLE TRACEMAKERS: Infaunal organisms, such as an anemone or polychaete worms.

GEOLOGIC RANGE: Cambrian-recent.
