DESCRIPTION: Plantigrade tracks with the manus about 4/5ths the length of the pes. Manus and pes are made of three primary parts: heel pad, digit impressions and, when present, claw impressions. The manus’ heel is small and ovoid while the pes’ heel is large and triangular. Manus can be absent if the tracemaker was walking on hindlegs.

ENVIRONMENTAL SETTINGS: Continental; terrestrial

POSSIBLE TRACEMAKERS: Ursidae (bears), particularly cave bears.
