JUNIOR SYNONYM(S): Bestiopeda, Pumaeichnium

DESCRIPTION: Plantigrade to semiplantigrade tracks with only digits II–IV, each of the digits have a digital pad that is spheroidal to elongate in shape and are generally the same size. The digital pads form a semi-circle around the front part of the sole or heel pad. Digital pad III is usually the most anterior of the pads. Claw impressions can be present.

ENVIRONMENTAL SETTINGS: Continental; terrestrial

POSSIBLE TRACEMAKERS: Animals belonging to the Carnivora group, particularly those belonging to Felidae.

GEOLOGIC RANGE: Lower Miocene–Pleistocene
