JUNIOR SYNONYM(S): Bestiopeda gracilis, possibly Pehuencoichnum
DESCRIPTION: Plantigrade to semiplantigrade tracks with only digits II–IV present. Spheroidal to elongate digital pads present on each digit as well as prominent claw impressions. The digits form a semicircle at the anterior end of the sole and heel pads. The digital pads are similar in size. Narrow trackway with a long stride.
BEHAVIOR(S): Repichnia
ENVIRONMENTAL SETTINGS: Continental; terrestrial
POSSIBLE TRACEMAKERS: Carnivora animals, particularly canoids.
GEOLOGIC RANGE: Possibly as far back as upper Eocene since canids, such as Hesperocyon and Mesocyon, are found during this time. Concretely, Miocene–recent.
