DESCRIPTION: Anastomosed, mosaic patterns of networks of simple and complex galleries, chambers, and ramps in the form of a sphere. Additional galleries radiate outward from the sphere.

BEHAVIOR(S): Multiple use structure, polychresichnia.

ENVIRONMENTAL SETTINGS: Fully continental terrestrial; constructed in soils in the vadose (unsaturated) zone.

POSSIBLE TRACEMAKERS: Termites; nest structure used for feeding, reproduction, storage, and/or growth of fungi for food.

GEOLOGIC RANGE: Triassic to recent.
