DESCRIPTION: Horizontal bilaterally symmetrical trail or burrow; trails are often concave epirelief, consisting of variably shaped, ribbonlike, ribbed furrow with or without median axis; transversely striated. Narrow lateral ridges to either side of the median furrow.
BEHAVIOR(S): Locomotion (repichnia) or feeding (fodinichnia) trace.
ENVIRONMENTAL SETTINGS: Shallow to deep marine environments.
POSSIBLE TRACEMAKERS: Gastropods, echinoids.
GEOLOGIC RANGE: Cambrian-recent.
