Diplopodichnus Brady, 1947


DESCRIPTION: Burrow with closely-spaced elongate parallel grooves that are perpendicular to the trace axis; length of imprints are 1.5-1.9 mm length and 0.9-4.0 mm width; burrow is straight to winding.

BEHAVIOR(S): Repichnia

ENVIRONMENTAL SETTINGS: Lacustrine and transitional terrestrial to freshwater deposits.

POSSIBLE TRACEMAKERS: Arthropods; millipedes and myriapods

GEOLOGIC RANGE: Ordovician-Permian
